Orchard Magic

We made it!  Spring has sprung, winter is slowly creeping away (then coming back, then creeping away, then coming back...) and I am savoring the warm days, are you?  The orchards are in bloom, and I've been spending a lot of time there.  Six sessions this week,  but I love it so I do not mind at all.  

I feel like I've neglected my poor blog, sigh.   But if you are dying to know what I've been up to, which I know you are, come follow me on Instagram @veronicareeve where I post more frequently.  

I just had to post a few photos from tonights orchard session.  I have hundreds of photos from this week that I could post but I thought, "something is better than nothing" and so these will do for now.

As a final note:  If you want to book a session with me, keep in mind that I am now booking for July.

Basic Photo II Class

Ready to take your camera skills to the next level?  Sign up for my Basic Photo II class!  It will be the only Basic Photo II class I teach in 2013.  Here are the details:

Veronica Reeve Photography:  Basic Photography II 

Tuition: $150.00

Class Dates: May 7, 14, 21 (6 pm - 7:30) and 25 (10 am - 12 am)

This intermediate photography class is designed for students who have a basic understanding of how to use the manual settings on their SLR camera. This class will continue to focus on more advanced manual settings on your camera, lighting, lenses, posing your subjects, and more advanced photo composition. The final class on the 18th will be an on-location photo shoot with models to practice on.

If you would like to sign up for a class email me veronica@veronicareeve.com.  All classes are taught in my studio in South Ogden, however the last class is a Saturday morning class, on-location, with models. 

Class tuition is $150.00 and, if there is room, due immediately to reserve your spot.  Class fee is non-refundable.  To register email me veronica@veronicareeve.com.  Class size is very limited so tell your friends and family and be sure to sign up...right now.

Busy Winter

So normally winter slows down, and I get a little break after the crazy fall.  This winter has been different.  Between my Basic Photo class, regular clients, some commercial work, and my collaboration with Jennifer Stagg's fabulous new blogazine withHEART - I have been as busy as ever.  Spring will be here before you know if and as soon as the weather starts getting warmer my calendar fills up very quickly.  If you want to book a session, get on my calendar now, so you can be sure to get a spot.

A Birthday Brunch

Amidst all the wacky weather we are having in Utah this winter, we celebrated the 6th birthday of my daughter Sophie.  Her only requirements when planning the birthday party was that she get to wear her pajamas.  She must take after her mother....

We decided to go with a Birthday Brunch.

Everyone decorated their own pillow case.

And we played games like "Musical Pillows" and "Pillow Case Races"

The kids were sent home with a thank you:  their own milk, cereal, bowl, and spoon to enjoy.

Easy, fun, and comfy in their pajamas - a fun January birthday party.

Basic Photography Class

Hello?  Anyone there.

It's been a long time.

Yes, I still do photography (were you beginning to wonder?)

It's been a busy fall (although from the lack of blog posts you'd think it was a rather sleepy one), a fun eventful holiday season, and a cold start to the new year.  

Winter is normally my slow time of year, but this year I've been busy doing commercial work, and I'm also working on a new project with some very talented woman that I'm so excited about - but more on that later...

So to start the new year right, and because some of you might have been gifted a new camera for Christmas and are wondering how in the world to use it, I am offering a Basic Photography Class in February.  

NOTE:  This will be my only Basic Photography Class this year!! So if you were considering taking it, now is the time.

My Basic Photography class is for beginners.  You will learn:

1.  How to use the manual settings on your camera.

2.  How to take great photos indoors and out.

3.  How to compose your pictures so they look fabulous.

And so, so, much more.  You'll be "wow"ing your friends and family before you know it.  Not to mention that the class is F.U.N and you'll meet fabulous people like yourself.

Here are the details:

February 5 6:00-7:30 and

February 12 6:00 - 7:30 and 

February 19 6:00 - 7:30 and 

February 23 10:00 - 12:00

Design Aglow

I am so honored to have my photos be published on the incredible Design Aglow website for their new Hand Drawn Photo Frames: Bohemian Collection.  Design Aglow has always been my favorite resource for products I offer my clients so I am thrilled that they asked if they could feature some of my photos in their newest product.   Oh and I can't get over how lovely these new frames are!  You can see my images and the lovely Bohemian Collection Frames by clicking here!

Feeling so urban...

I've had a lot of requests for downtown "urban" locations lately.  Good thing our little town has so many sweet little spots.  When ice cream is involved you can't really go wrong...especially with these darling kiddos wearing their bright fun colors.
